Anyway, I've just wanted to play few minutes ago in Pandemic, we were 3... I did ONLY the first turn and one of them tell me noooooooo not the black one, what are doing, abandon the game. I didn't and I said, why ? did I something wrong ? yes, abandon please, !!!! it's the FIRST TURN !!!!

Do not play coop games on BGA, the player base for coop games on the site is toxic.

The only coop game I’ve played on this site w/o friends is crew and I came to the same conclusion that it is toxic. Players with higher elo have this weird self entitlement but higher elo only means they played more not that they are actually superior players. The current status is that you win simply for participating but yet if one simple mistake is made I’ve seen several times people get bent out of shape and leave the game.

I’ve developed a thick skin. I like Hanabi, another co-op game. For every 4 rude players, there’s one nice one. For every 15 players, there’s one that will take you under their wing.

As someone who has become more experienced, my new pet peeve is new people who proclaim they know the game well, quickly screw up, reassure me they know what they’re doing, screw up again, refuse to abandon the game, and immediately cause the third screwup, losing the game. It makes me want to set my preferences to not play with less experienced players, but I hate to do that because I only got good when a few people “adopted” me.

Can you play Pandemic solo on BGA? You might want try it that way. Or maybe you can find a game with other novices.

I think this is an issue with a lot of games here, not just co-ops. It would be nice of there were some sort of 'practice game' mode.

The basics rules I know but anyway, it's a not a way, for me, to welcome a new player...
I will try to play solo . I didn't know that I can on BGA.

If they joined his game when it clearly states he is a beginner and expected him to play at an expert level then that is their fault.

Also this problem still exist amongst experienced players. I will mention crew again. If someone is ruining every hand I can see the experience being unenjoyable. But if one mistake is made just click the retry button and continue to play. It shouldn’t be a big deal.

I understand setting tables to average and above because apprentices ranges from 1-99 played. But good, strong, expert, and master tables and above? Does someone really need to play crew 300, 500, and 650 times before they are capable of completing a mission?

When I want to play a new game, usually I ask first to a "friend" if he wants to try it with me.

Or if you play with strangers, maybe it would be better to tell them "Its my 1st game, are you willing to be patient and to help me if I struggle, please?" right at the beginnig before the 1st turn. So if they dont want, the game can be cancelled. And you try until you find nice people.

Never let your fun ruined by 2-3 not cool persons. If they take this too seriously, it's THEIR problem not your! It's just a game after all

Sorry you had such a bad experience! Another option is to open up a group of players who are willing to help each other.

I can't say I agree with that .. I'm playing mostly coop games, and mostly good experience . .only really crazy one, was encountered one guy who got offended when I asked him to make a move that helped me .. and then used the "I'm more experienced than you" .. then commenced to run around the map (Burgle Bros , btw), like a headless chicken and lost us the game .. LOL

I just blocked him .. easy enough . moving on!
