I had the same problem. I started a solo game, and it disappeared after a few hours. Trying to figure out how this all works. It's frustrating. Makes me not want to use the platform and cancel my premium subscription.

The problem is that it's possible to create a "friendly" game in "real-time". This means the table will delete itself after about 4 hours of inactivity, and there is not an obvious indicator to casual users that the game is real-time at all, since there's no timer.

There is no warning, and as a game developer I have long implored this behavior to be changed, but as far as I'm aware the powers that be are unwilling to approve it.

For my upcoming game I have literally blocked friendly real-time tables from being created because I want to avoid this at all costs.

See, this to me is crazy, because it used to be a problem that you could create real-time competitive games without timers (with friends only), and people's "friends" were just disappearing and leaving them stuck. Apparently. And a number of people said, why not remove "real time without timers" because if there's no timer, who cares if it's RT or TB right? And this would prevent people from blocking up their RT slot with an ongoing game where people just disappeared. Instead, they just made all games without timers friendly, so people could quit without consequence (I'm aware there are other stated reasons for this, but they also don't exactly make sense with the current solution). And yet, this scenario, where you create a game as friendly, expecting it to hang around for a good while, and then it disappears after 4 hours, still exists. And still causes problems.

I don't understand how decisions are made by the powers that be here. This is just one among many decisions that make no logical sense.

Preach it brother!! Latest example: Have you seen the new website log in? 3 steps of ad cluttered garbage where 1 used to do. I really don't get the decision making on here either.

And the solution to the OP problem is make solo games in turnbased then they stay for as long as you need. (within reason, I think they expire after a month of inactivity or something like that)
