Maybe it adds more luck but it also adds more strategy!

I agree with some others posting here - Bruno's variant brings more luck AND more strategy. It also helps to level the playing field for a player who draws somewhat unlucky numbers. And it gives players something to think about beyond just playing the odds. Finally, provides more opportunities for improbable comebacks and exciting finishes over the regular way of playing.

We love BRUNOS VARIANT
Totally hate the basic VARIANT
We play with all the counters irrespective of number of Players
If two players we play with two boards each and it works perfectly
You can mix the two boards and swap the tiles around as much as you like
Completing one board does not lock the board
The app should be able to have that as a varient
1) play with all 4 sets of tiles
2) play with 2 boards for two players
If you have a Lucky numbers game you can d9 that variation very easily
It should also be a variety on Boardgamearena as well and should have the option to play with or without Brunos variant
The only real lucky part is when waiting for just one tile then that is pure luck
Bruno variant is far better than the basic variant and the players own set up

oh it's a Cathala variant, why can't people call the designer by its name?

edit: i see it's the official variant name from the publisher. Thought it was yet another "I like Bruno games" like on BGG lol

I like the Bruno’s variant. I think it adds another level of strategy. I think there is more luck without it as you can only play the odds of what you draw. The Bruno’s variant adds a lot more as you can plan to place clovers in a way that increases your chance of duplicates and capitalizing on a second turn. I much prefer with this variant than without it.
