When playing asynchronously taking notes makes too much sense to not do it.
Disallowing knowing what is in your DC pile and draw pile is silly.

Which is really ironic since I think having a visible discard would make gameplay faster. Just splay your discard pile and you can see in an instant the state of your deck rather than repeating your discard pile to yourself in your head. It’s much faster to evaluate your current decision based on what you are seeing rather than what you have memorized.

Even in official digital implementation of Dune Imperium on steam, we can see the cards in discard and draw pile. BGA doesn't really seem to have any upper hand with publishers when it comes to game implementation here. :(

why should they? The publishers own the game. And they can decide how it should be implemented. At it's not wrong to have it implemented as the rules say. And what das DI has to do with Heat? Yep, nothing. Different Author. Different Publisher.

It's actually a selling point of BGA to the publishers that the rules are respected.

So, if you want this to change, it's the publisher you need to convince first and foremost.
Point is that it makes sense to have such an option online given the potential duration of the games in turn based mode and given how players can take notes anyway but this didn't convince them the first time so don't hope too much...

I would like to see it implemented, but only for turn-based games. I feel it is a bit hard to remember cards when I run more than 2-3 games simultaneously, and looking into the history is awkward at best. Especially when playing on a phone.

card tracking is a skill in just about every card game. The only people that don't like it are the ones that want to remove the skill out of a game. It's the same reason why casinos kick out people who track cards... how else is the house suppose to take your money?
