Yeah, well... I'm afraid that won't happen. You can report posts that you consider off-topic, though.

99.9% of suggestions made in the forums "won't happen". That doesn't make this idea bad.

It does not need to be in the forum. It could be a wiki page (you're free to create one if you want).

People don't read old threads in the forum. People don't read old posts in long threads. People don't read FAQs. People don't read wikis... At least, people who post recurringly don't, those who do find their answers and we never hear from them

I've seen people link old threads countless times. I've seen several posters say "I've searched for such and such topic first before making this thread" when there was already threads on that topic. I've also personally read old threads and considering I see you all over these forums you've must've at some point as well. So this post is inaccurate.

Add recurring topics as an FAQ update

there's also the fact that you can't search for some topics.
for example, you can't search for Elo, it's too short or too common, can't remember which.
if you want more information on the Elo algoritm, there are threads that explain it, but you can't search for them.

(Elo is halfway explained in the FAQ, but points you to wikipedia. it doesn't help that the FAQ and wikipedia use different letters for the same variables)

Exactly! I used the “dice rigged” topic as an example because it seems to be the most popular but a recurring topic that I’m actually interested in is arena elo (aes). These are two words that can’t be searched. At times ive known the exact thread I was looking for and still couldn’t find it.

Elo is such an important topic that it should have a dedicated thread.
