I understand that leavers must be a problem impossible to solve completely (actually I can hardly figure what can go through mind of people doing so, maybe a machiavelic plan of world global domination, I don't know....). I just find that time penalties are maybe quite high compared to the inconvenience they cause (when staying in reasonable proportions) and that it can make it harder to tell at first sight if someone should be avoided because he's a quitter
I have a good connexion but simply experienced 3 or 4 internet explorer bugs in a row (time to understand that the bug is on your side and not due to something else about the platform, or else...) and some regular time penalties (I must not be normal but in Gosu even with a good knowledge of the rules I find it hard, if you do not know all cards perfectly, to stay within allowed time, when you need to find a combo. But I assume this must be my fault and I should be able to deal with it... this is not a big deal after all
And for the fact that I should have left my beginning opponent help himself with the rules in order to avoid time penalties, ok it's a mistake to have set the game on normal timer, but once the game started, being unhelping a game partner as I could is not my perception of sharing a game with people and it's not what I'm looking for (and I suppose that it's not the aim of this site to be as unfriendly as possible with newcomers, because this first step with a community, its rules, an interface... is not this easy and can be discouraging)
