You don't have to have played against someone to give them a private red thumb. Those can be for any reason, e.g., being obnoxious in the forums. I'm not saying that applies to you, but it definitely describes some users.

Or having been (perhaps falsely) accused of cheating in the forums. I guess there are users who see a "XXX is a cheater" post and quickly proceed to red thumb XXX.

You can go on any player's page and check anybody's given and received red thumbs that way. Turns out private red thumbs are not private afterall.

You can go to any page (not just a profile page) and view the page source to see a list of red thumbs given and taken, but it's always your red thumbs.
