I've enjoyed trying it. But.... either I don't understand the rules or there is a bug. I am holding "Advance" reaction cards in my hand, but it doesn't let me play them after I attack and clear a territory. And it is *not * spring, I understand I can't advance in spring. Any ideas what is wrong?

It's possible you were using a "Pact" card on a "Germany" unit, or vice-versa. The Axis player has 2 factions to manage and, as far as I know, the cards are faction-specific

The game doesn’t have enough end stage triggers. In my first and only game, my opponent was able to wipe me completely off the map and I was unable to play any troops whatsoever since he had armies in every space of mine. …
We had to keep clicking PASS and NO ACTION to get though the remaining seasons before it finally ended in 1945 or whenever.

War of the Ring would be so epic! I really hope the license issue can be solved at some point.
