Just for some context, last season there were over 120 000 games played. A season is about 90 days, so we are about one fifth of the way through this season and there have been just over 10 000 games played. If this rate of play continues for the rest of the season the number of games played will have dropped by more than 50%.

I'm back after a hiatus from online play only to find these new expansions have nuked my comprehension of the game mechanics. From 2021 to late 2023 I managed to get my ELO up to 500.

I come back and the game was switched back to 3 player, has these two expansions, and in 56 games, I've managed to scrape out 16 wins, while watching my ELO plummet to the mid-200s.

It's a kick in the teeth.

Maybe it's just because I'm not grokking the new strategies yet, but I hate how the trading posts are the same for every game and there's no way to win by sheer points alone unless one of the cities is the 17 point one.

I'm feeling compelled to keep grinding to see if I can wrap my brain around it but I mostly hate the game now and am just playing out of spite.

I think the fact that current Reigning champion (CN_Azul) doesn't play this mode speaks for itself
