When and how to use Overdrive is definitely a key function to becoming an Advanced TacTile player. It’s also why early on it is key to purchasing as many cards the same color or two as possible to provide you more opportunities to do Overdrive.

I don't really agree with your last statement. What cards are best to buy is very board dependent anyway, but focusing on buying 1-2 colour cards makes it easier to defend against you.

It’s kind of the risk/reward of tactile - more concentration = more efficiency (especially with overdrive) but easier defense. It comes down to board and positioning which is better in the moment.

That being said I typically always recommend concentration for new players because it’s easier for them to manage
