Meaning, they aren't permitted, or just aren't often created? I'm pretty sure it's the latter.

If you cannot find Spades players to play in Tournaments, what makes you'll think they're play in the new endeavor if it's created?

I heard the ratings difference in Ark Nova is so extreme that top players have to resort to mass red thumbing weak players to avoid time wasting matchups with no reward and huge risk. Any pairing with over 200-300 AES difference seems like bad matchmaking?
This is 100% true. I was looking at the players who has red thumbed me for arena avoiding abuse in another game (you can get the ids from your profile in the page meta data) and many were high level ark nova players I've never played in anything. I've dabbled in Ark Nova, around 200 elo so definitely in that bracket

Because most games don't have enough players to support it I suspect. It might work on Ark Nova with 1000s of players ,less so on games with only 100s of players, and would be even more problematic on games where the Arena seasons are >2 players.

Meeple mentioned it as a competitive alternative for her to which I informed them that it really isn’t. Most tourneys are played tb. Spades is horrible in tb. In a tournament you also have to play multiple games. Considering the length of spades that isn’t going to be appealing to most ppl. So a “new endeavor” would be a better option for spades players than tournaments as long as they could play real time & wouldn’t have to commit playing for several hours like what a tournament commitment would be.

If it was an option players could choose (insert # of aes or higher) instead of being something that is automatic within the system it would work.

There you go, tournament created: https://boardgamearena.com/tournament?id=415525

If you don't like the settings, create one yourself, or find someone else to create it.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation to the Chief for his invaluable contributions to this subject matter. His expertise as a skilled player across a variety of games, combined with his extensive knowledge of the operations of this site, is highly commendable.

Furthermore, a competition that permits participants to selectively avoid opponents based on skill level or personal preferences cannot genuinely adhere to the principles of fairness.

Therefore, I propose the introduction of a real-time competition that participants may join at their convenience, free from the constraints of ELO ratings and Red Thumbs.

Individuals take pleasure in the visibility of their names on a leaderboard!

Cool. Have you tried actually suggesting it as a suggestion, rather than just posting in the forums to other users about it?

Though even that does not guarantee that what you want will happen. If other users agree with you and vote for it, maybe it'll get considered. But there's a lot more that goes into deciding on what new features to add to a site than just the opinions of one or two (or even hundreds of) people. And even if it does get considered, it's not going to be the work of a day or a week to implement it. Likely you wouldn't hear about it until it's a good way done (or even complete), so I wouldn't get your hopes up about seeing it anytime soon.

The only thing that gets implemented on this site is the addition of more games!

So what is the point of this thread then? Screaming into the void?
