Players conceding/resigning the game early

I understand the frustration, but you can always play solo if high score is what's important to you

It would be nice when a player concedes, the other player could continue playing. That way, if they're on a roll, they can stay and try for a high score.

FWIW, in some circles (such as chess, I believe) one is expected to concede when a game is clearly lost. It's not poor sportsmanship to not let the winner play out their win to the end - rather, it's poor sportsmanship to force them to do it, just wasting their time.

So, as long as YOU can play to beat your own high score no one should be allowed to concede, eventhough they have obviously lost. You say this is a game of luck, why shouldn't I be allowed to concede and begin a new game where my luck might be better. I will admit the other player is having a better game, they get points for winning, I lose points for conceding. Sounds fair to me.

I am new to the Maxi Yahtzee mode and I just had a player concede and was sad that I couldn't finish it out so I can get used to these options.

I think they should add what someone suggested earlier, that you can play out the end of the game after your opponent concedes. Then both parties are happy and it doesn't affect one another.

I'm getting sick of sore losers resigning games early. I'll get really lucky and manage to roll 3 or 4 yahtzee's early in the game. I get excited that I could potentially be on to break my high score, only for the other player to pull out because I've "already won" or "they want to save 2 minutes" or "we're just delaying the inevitable".
I think this is a terrible option to have in the game and is leaving the fate of the game and whether you get a high score or not in the hands of your opponent.
This needs to change. Would be interesting to get the thoughts of other players?

since Yahtzee is not affected by other player, there should be an option to finish your game after they concede

Players resigning from games early is really contentious. I hate it, thus made my own website

You would never do that at a games night face-to-face, people shouldn't do it online. A game of yahtzee is 2-3 minutes, just have the courtesy to finish the game. It doesn't hurt. Just a bit of decency; you've asked someone to sit down and invest time playing with you, so at least give them the same effort and time. Play the game to the conclusion.

It's not even 2-3 minutes; if you play with a view to win, you should get to a stage within 2-3 turns of the end before there is ever a mathematically guaranteed winner if you play properly.

A win is still a win, conceding or not.
