The WSBG on BGA Freeroll tournaments will consist of 16 games. 11 are Ring Games at the tournament in Las Vegas. 4 will be Ring games from previous years and will be Phoenix Tournaments (side tournaments) at the event. For our final Online tournament game, we have decided to replace our original announcement of Catan. In the next few days, we will choose a game on BGA from the more popular ones in the survey. If you haven't had a chance to fill it out, now is the time. We have been looking at the data and it may help us decide which games we should look at using for Phoenix tournaments in 2026 and even possible choices for future Ring events.

Freeroll Tournament Registration is now open for all 2026 WSBG Ring Games that are supported on the BGA platform. Links to sign up are in previous posts. Our first Phoenix Freeroll Tournament is now ready for registration. HEAT: PEDAL TO THE MEDAL was originally one of the 16 main ring games at WSBG in Las Vegas. We rotate out a few games every year, but many of those games may still be play in our Outer events called Phoenix Tournaments. These are 2 round tournaments that you can register for throughout the 5 day tournament at the Horseshoe in Las Vegas. Since 5 of the 16 Ring games aren't on Board Game Arena (yet!) we will be filling these games in with previous Ring tournament games. As always, we will have a tournament for 3 different time zones to play in. You may enter multiple zones of the same game. However, if you have the least amount of time left in a game that time's out, you may be disqualified in all those games of the same time zone. Here are the tournament links:

We would also like to answer some FAQs regarding the Freeroll Tournaments.

Can I sign up for more than one time zone?
Yes, but if you time out a game in one time zone, you may be disqualified in all tournaments you signed up for.

What do I get if I win?
Entry into either the Real-Time or Turn-Based 7 Wonders Premier tournament. Premium Members will receive a WSBG promo item at the 2026 event.

What if someone isn't playing or time's out a game?
Do NOT try to end the game. Try to message the player and finish the game if possible. If the game times out, send @DeCante a Direct Message with a link to the game and a description of the game state before the time out. You may be eligible for a scoring adjustment in our results spreadsheet.

I had a game where I didn't win. Should I just quit the tournament?
You may withdraw from the tournament, but you MUST still finish the game you are currently playing to avoid disqualification from all tournaments. But even if you don't win the tournament, you will still get in some good practice and can accumulate stats for an upcoming overall online tournament leaderboard.

They are both. Here is the best explanation:
The WSBG on BGA Freeroll Tournament winners get into their choice of a Real-Time or Turn-Based Premier online tournament of the same game.
WSBG on BGA Premier Tournament winners get a first round bye at the event in Las Vegas OR a free entry into a side tournament. They also gain entry into the Online Championship tournament.
The WSBG on BGA Championship will be on August 8 and the winner will receive a ticket to compete in 4 Ring games at WSBG with hotel paid for the 5 day event in either 2026 or 2027.
