This is not the first time that a new account has quickly risen in the arena or Elo and then disappeared. In Kingdomino, twice a person took top1 arenas in 4-5 days from the moment of account creation and deleted it a week later. It seems a little strange to me, but maybe someone is having fun like that, or the BGA has come up with a multi-account detection system.

How many games did it take you when you started the video series?

Was their other account deleted?
Yup. Not sure why but no longer exists. I have a few games vs them in my game history that I can still see.
This wasn't the account that was using an engine that they wrote for their master's thesis to play in arena was it?
No, that account is still active, just had their elo reset. You can see them as reigning Arena season champion.

Would have to go back and watch the videos I think since the account is deleted. I limited my opponent elo to the bracket I was in though (beginner, average, good, etc), so someone who is just playing arena should be able to do it much faster.

No, he was also removed from Arena. Since I do not remember the name (I analyzed one of his games when he was still top of Arena) I cannot track whoever it was.

But that is no problem, It is not necessary for me (or anyone else in the forum) to know his name. I completely trust that those that recognized the AI cheating will have a close look that this account does not continue the behavior.
