Personally I don't like people conceding, it annoys me, I'd rather play the game out. But I understand there are people who think the other way, and don't like me keeping on going when I'm clearly losing. So I've tried to become more relaxed about the whole thing. I did have one very good discussion where someone told me they were going to concede, but agreed to wait until the end of the turn so I could enjoy playing some of my really cool cards. I appreciated that, and would be willing to have discussions in the other direction as well ( when I am clearly losing). It's awkward though, you have to be super polite.

I've seen players miss a winning move in a game with no hidden information.

I've noticed the same thing recently, it seems like a lot more people are conceding. Personally, I'm here for the fun of playing, so it does frustrate me when people concede several turns before the end of the game.

Also, question - does conceding mean that the losing player doesn't have as big a change in their points? I mean, since the final score is 1-0, rather than, for example, 32-10. Genuine curiosity here. TIA.

That's all I wanted to check. I wasn't sure if leaving early/conceding meant that the actual score of the game wasn't used to calculate the rating change. If it did, a 1-0 loss would be much less damaging than a 32-10 loss, for example.

Score is never used to calculate rating change, only the outcome matters. Any scoring that doesn't affect the outcome doesn't matter.

You're missing the point. Your Elo adjustment is based on the result--win, lose, or draw--of the game, the rating difference of the players, and scaling factors. But not the score. The score is never an input into the formula. So they are not using the "actual score" or any other score to calculate the rating change. It doesn't matter if you lose by 100 points or 1 point. And some games don't even have points, so how could Elo even be based on that?

I concededed a couple of games bc I knew I couldnt win.
I thought if I concede its like losing.
I would lose ELO, the winner gets more ELO
If someone conceded to me, I would take it as a compliment.
Like in Chess when someone puts their king on its side.

Also if one is in the middle of game and has to leave.
Isn't conceding the nice way to do it - rather than quiting?

I'm going to give up on this argument (I made it earlier in this thread) because this topic has come up over and over and over again, and it is clear that people simply don't care if resigning in chess is a thing.

I think for my own mental health I need to add this to the list of topics I'm banning myself from (RNG conspiracies and gg is a microaggression being others).
