Maybe BGA can limit his access until 2398? :)

Seriously, you now know about the tools to hide his trade requests. Yes, it's unfortunate that there's no way to block just his trade requests, but it's really not the end of the world.

You've taken care not to specifically mention the player's name, but it's easy enough for anyone to figure out. BGA has very clear rules about using the forums to criticize specific players, and nothing would amuse the troll more than for you to be moderated for violating those rules.

Is this in Arena mode? Are people able to red thumb others in Arena mode so they don’t have to play them anymore?

A controversial aspect of arena, but yes.

They are blocked - so they can't chat? Have you considered they are trying to communicate using the trade-functionality? Maybe you can translate the trade offers into ascii  ?

I can see why that’s controversial if it allows people to avoid stronger players. Couldn’t someone just red thumb everyone they don’t think they can beat and only play softer players? Then they could win Arena without ever having to play their strongest opponents?

Yes. BGA even announced that they were going to remove red thumbs in Arena because it was being "abused" (their word) in precisely this manner. But they never implemented it and failed to explain why. But I don't want this to turn into another thread arguing over this because it has been discussed many many times before.
