I play games to enjoy them and win. Unless it's a real life situation, I don't care about the "experience" of playing against another person online. We are almost all anonymous people to each other. Doesn't mean I'll be rude to someone. But if I lose a game, I'm not going to be happy about it and probably wouldn't want to play with that person for a little while.
Do you play boardgames with friends in real life ? Aren't they too scared? It must be something
Juste jokin'
I concur that

Haha xD. Honestly, I don't really play board games and card games in real life anymore. When I was younger, my friends and I used to play a bunch. But we all got older, got married, had kids, I moved to a different country, among other things. We used to play Magic a lot.

Don't take a red thumb personally. It doesn't mean dislike. It just means they prefer not to play with you, for whatever reason. Maybe you're too good and they don't enjoy the game, or you're too slow, or too fast, or your username reminds them of someone they hate, or you avatar makes them dizzy, or they won and want to avoid the consecutive wins "penalty"...
Like.

Your karma doesn't go down. They removed that effect of red thumbs long time ago, unless they put it back. At most you'll see a message in your profile that's only visible to you.
Perhaps the red stripe is visible only to me, but I didn’t know that.

I don't dislike players after losing but if you beat me at the same game a number of times I'm going to feel like I'm not as good a player so I might want more evenly rated competition.

I don't care who doesn't want to play with me, they should just leave it alone!

I use the dislike feature for anyone who irritates me during a game - it doesn't matter if I win or lose, they will be blocked. It's not an attack on said blocked person, it just simply means I don't have to suffer having them as an opponent again. I wouldn't take it personally - the more people we choose to green thumbs or red thumbs means we're playing opponents that are suited to our playing style and speed.
