By all means, use the forums to discuss between users, that's what they're for.

No one is saying not to discuss it in the forums. The question is what is the best way to have something done about what we're discussing, and merely discussing in the forums is usually not the best way.

It doesn't seem like there's really a "best way" here. You can say BGA doesn't read the forums, though that's more a statement that they don't have to rather than a declaration that they actively avoid reading them, but unless you can say they're actively putting effort towards the alternative and you can expect something there, there doesn't seem to be much of a functional difference to worry about.
