The guild of merchant explorers has become one of my favourite games since launching here. Happy to see it win!! shame about that clunky name though. Best game with the worst name .

This year's lineup had some outstanding games, and I thoroughly enjoyed playing each one on the list in order to be able to vote. I was surprised to see Galactic Cruise triumph over such fantastic games as The White Castle and Concordia. Overall, it was an very fun experience, the deduction section was particularly enjoyable to explore, and I became absolutely addicted to Orapa Mine!
Thank you BGA!

Toy Battle is a fantastic game – and even better online than in real life, as quicker to set up and easier to see how many tokens we have left

It won the popular vote

Anyone can vote

Everyone can vote

If you’re unclear why that leads to a result you disagree with, I’m not sure I can explain it to you quickly.

The question was about why it's appealing, not about how voting works. Those are distinct questions. Saying "it's appealing because it won" is circular.

Thank you - I am glad you understood my actual question.

Hopefully @CakeorDave can explain as quickly as he reads.
