Very good summarizing of the downside to 3 player games, i am very glad they decided to go back to 2 player games.

Yeah, 3+ players is way too chaotic for me.

3-player is longer but involves more strategy, which is what I like about this game. My vote is to please return to 3-player for the arena.

The impact of strategy in a game generally goes down the greater the player count in games.

Lol, a third (inexperienced) player can do some very stupid actions which helps the other opponent get the victory. That really has nothing to do with more strategy, it's actually increasing the luck factor of a wingspan game more (while wingspan already got a significant luck factor). I think enough is said already on this forum about it. I also think the goal of arena is to see who the best player is and not the most luckiest, so 2 players games are just better for arena games and almost every high elo player will agree with that.

It seems like this group is torn between both modes. Perhaps the solution is to flip between 2 player and 3 player after each season. That way you at least get the mode you like some of the time.

Or we can just stick to the regular system as is, and the vote shall decide it.

A great thing about 2-player is conceding after your very last move for no reason than pure spite. Bonus points if you time it right before their last click.
