It now seems to be much more laggy across several games and even hangs / freezes completely instead of showing the scoring / final state. Particularly in Innovation where every game is crashing out with a screen pop-up titled "loading game art 0%" and a message saying "Error loading the game! We have been notified". Multiple times now.

Is anyone else noticing this?
I've noticed that they've been making the language "more inclusive". We wouldn't want anyone to get their feelings hurt because they lost a game, right? No, the game is over, but hey, you did the best you could.
Doesn't pretty much every game rulebook have a section on "game end" and working out who has won? If someone gets their feelings hurt because the winner wins and the losers lose then maybe they shouldn't be playing online at all.

No one’s feelings are being hurt. TxGowan is just injecting their hateful politics with this strawman.

Yes, all it says is 'game end' It doesn't say the winner anymore. And then a banner appears over the top so you have to get rid of it before you can actually see who won!

Please bring back the winner at the top, it's much more straightforward and easier to read.

The Game Results tab which shows at the end still says "Game result : [username] wins".

This whole thread seems like whining over almost nothing.

No. It doesn't.

It simply says "End of game." There is no "Game Results" tab shown.

No winner is declared. There is no link to the game results screen. Adjustments to Elo are not shown. There is no link to play another game or propose a rematch.

All of this was displayed automatically, when the game ended, as of the other day. Its absence now creates significant friction from a user experience perspective.

It is not clear if it is intentional or a bug - but if it is intentional, it is also not clear why such a change was made, as it seemingly only makes things worse without offering any improvement in exchange.

Frequently-used functionality has been removed and the user interface has been downgraded, to the detriment of the user experience.

That is not "whining," nor is it "almost nothing."

The Internet is a harsh enough place. I'll just leave this here with no further comments.

I have only noticed that the game sounds at the end for a win or a loss has not sounded for any game for about 16 hours now. I'm not sure what the deal is. I kind of miss the sounds...

The duplication of the result has been added back.

I still have the winner being declared, but no sounds for winning/losing. And after thinking about it, I actually find the experience much less stressful without those sounds, so I appreciate that particular change.

I can't access imgur in the uk. Did you check innovation? Haytil's comments are particularly relevant to innovation which was crashing out with errors at game end.
Edit. I've just played a game and it is still crashing out.
