It's an alright card, but you're not ever really wanting to be speculating on ok cards. You want to be in a position that you can let it pass because something at-least as good is coming around the corner. You would take it if you can immediately play it and it works for your requirements. Probably the basis on playing all mediocre cards. But playable mediocre cards, or atleast things do do with your $$$ should be happening most time so there is no need to speculate.

And you already said, given you're calculating all the time, there is something to do with your brain and serotonin levels that make you want to speculate on really good cards. All the choices, all the time should be a balance on whether you think it's worth it. What is the up-side, what is the down-side, what is the probability.
I would only reasonably speculate on fusion, most likely for the science tag perhaps (still very unlikely), and maybe, just maybe because I have a big energy production payoff and my options are extremely limited and this is my only way out.

Context is very important, much better than wanting to make global pre-determined decisions on particular cards.

I am thinking Fusion is not just an ok card, we speculate on mass and anti grav in the initial draft for 2p no matter what right. I believe Fusion if pretending it has a point on it, is a great card that is worthy to be included in my initial draft.

It opens up so many paths and if dropped give you huge control in the drafts and could make your 2p opponent mistakingly makes a fast and bad draft decisions. The heat and science tag alone is very influential. We talking about builder, scientist, contractor, engineer and industrialist. It's really something that has been overlooked and underestimated.

Especially in the current meta, if it's undervalued, it could be a game changer and great buy. It's just a point or two away from broken, i can afford two early game points to break a game. That's my philosophy on this card right now in the current market/meta.

The context is that energy prod is so good, there is really nothing better since heat control is a precondition to win games. I have lost games that I have total dominance on board, draw and engine but zero heat control, albeit it's rare but it's just silly to lose a game like that.

Fusion is fantastic because it has a science tag and 3 energy prod, which worse case scenario you get 3 heat prod and some form of heat control. It's amazing because you get 3 heat prod without losing an energy prod, you see when you play ghg factory you dont really get 4 heat prod, since you lost an energy prod, you paid 14 for 3 heat prod and a building tag. That's why helion is a low tier, most of heat prod cards are not that efficient when convert to cash or get you a good ROI for heat prod.

And when running API on Thorgate it destroyed the tier list, energy is just OP, there is no excess, give me all.

Fusion power is a good card, already provides good value. I assume that's why it doesn't also have a VP.
