Chess is a single game that already has programs made that can solve it. BGA has thousands of games that would need to each be solved individually in order to have such a feature.

Yes that's true, but it's theoretically not impossible. Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the games here maintained by a community by those that play those games often, not BGA themselves?

I think what Cile was saying is that unlike Chess, thematic strategy games do not have computer programs that act as "solvers" to select the optimal move. As evidenced by the fact that computer-programmed opponents in such games are generally terrible and rarely make the best move or even a good move.

Meaning, there is little or no concern than a Wingspan (or similar game) opponent is using computer assistance to win, because no such computer assistance exists.

Also true, but I was saying that they detect cheaters in Chess by analyzing their moves and seeing that they are always making the "best" move. Therefore, to detect cheaters on BGA you would need to have systems that know the best move in order to know the player is making it, ie. every game on BGA would have to be solved by a computer.

So the same thing but from a different direction: You can't use it to detect cheaters because the given game hasn't been solved by a computer, and also cheaters can't use a computer that has solved the game to cheat because it doesn't exist.

And even Chess isn't solved by computers right now, though they are much better at Chess than humans are.
