Just to add to my above post. Its been 8+ hours now and the clock is still spinning for the
missing player. The skip button does not work. Repeat-does not work!!!!!!!!!! I understand everything
you are saying and trying to do. But the implementation is not working!!!!

I think these changes are quite good.
The only problem I can think of is that for some games calculation of the game progress is very inaccurate. For example, game progress in Hex at the end of the game is often <70%.
However, this problem is more related to the specific games, than to the quitting mechanism as such.

Thank you for your feedback.

There is no server lag. Over the past 24 hours, less than 1.9% of the requests during games took more than 200 milliseconds, and 0.2% more than 1 seconds, and none above 4 seconds. Sorry but the delay is due to your internet connection.

The system has been updated right now so there can be no ELO loss for opponents after a player's left (only gain).

This is true. Game progression is more important than before. But again: this is trade off, so even if game progression is not 100% accurate, this is working

Is this the feature that you asked us to guess about in the previous news post?

How do you calculate the percentage awarded to the remaining player? I just played a game of Diam's where my opponent quit on the last turn and it reported him as having quit at 27%...
I was expecting a lot more ELO from that game.

The percentage isn't calculated globally. It's in the implementation for each game. The percentage isn't really that good in quite a few games but up until now it was only important to mark the 50% line (for conceding the game), so it didn't really matter that it was "wrong".
I guess the percentages could be adjusted in a few games (note that it has to be some calculable number with the exact same calculation for every match, so even if a good definition for the percentage has been found there might be matches in which that percentage is way off again), not sure if that should be bug reports or what else the procedure should be
