Hi,
This has been fixed. Sorry for the fixing delay but - believe it or not - this was very difficult to simulate tournaments and reproduce this issue. Now we are much better equipped and manage to fix the bug.

Hello Greg,
Following the email I just received.
I wanted to thank you for the effort you made to resolve the problem of hive tournaments aborted.
I think a new tournament will start very soon.
Thank you very much and very good year 2016.
Very good year too, at the Hive players.
Backgammon Tournaments - tie breaker

Not sure where else to put this one! I'd have put it in the Backgammon group but that doesn't seem to be possible. So...
At present the tie-breaker in BG tournaments is the net superiority in men removed in all games played. This is actually an inaccurate and unfair rule, because if I am miles ahead in my game (which often happens in BG) my opponent is likely to concede before I've removed hardly a single piece. In that case the tie-break score for that game would be zero (a case in point is game #20146992 in the current "Go home round robin" where thothom trounced me and I conceded with him having 6 off the board - so he gets only 6 points and I come away much better off than I deserved!) I doubt whether there is a valid way of using this stat to break ties. The ELO-based system used in Can't Stop seems more suitable.
