And also this match started during the "cursed" hour :D

It seems there's a problem which affects only those two hours... :(

Hi,

All issues are now fixed on tournaments. Full explanation for those interested :
  • It appears that when the tournament administrator was changing the starting date of the tournament after it has been launched, these was no effect (tournament was starting at the date planned initially). This has been fixed. By the way, this is no more possible to change tournament dates (nor configuration) after a player register.
  • For turn-based tournaments : games that may accept more than 2 players (ex: Race for the Galaxy) was expecting more players for tournament games, and consequently the tables wasn't starting automatically. It has been fixed now, and all games should start automatically.

Thanks a lot!

I understand that the administrator should not be able to change the configuration after someone has registered. However, would it be possible to automatically change Swiss mode to Round-robin when the number of players is too low with respect to the number of games to play?
I mean: if I create a Swiss tournament for 16 players and 6 games to play, but only 4 players register, they should not have to play 6 games, which would mean playing twice with the same player. Actually, I have created 2 tourneys that are in this situation. We still have not reached the second round so I don't know what will happen, but I am fearing that we will have to play all the 6 planned games.

Hi,

I understand your point. But this could also be useful to have a Swiss tournament organized with more games than "required", for ex because you explicitely want that 2 players plays 2 times against each other.

Maybe a good solution would be to have an option for Swiss based to reduce automatically the number of games according to players number.

Right!

Yes, this would be nice.

Understand you, but at least would be nice "just for BETA" if we can TRY 3 PLAYERS TOURS -4 or more, still not-

Suggestion scoring:

- Winner gets 3 points, second 1 and third 0 points
- If one player quit, the other two get 2 points each
- Bye players get 2 points each -in 2p tours gets 1 point-

As for bye players, seems the system keeps track of number of games played so would be easy to know who got a bye vs giving them more points than a person who played.

In addition, I was expecting to show my next player I was to play at the bottom (who is playing whom plus prior results) and not a message at the top of the screen. With mobiles I have notice that sometimes hides this message behind other items. Be nice to be able to do both.

I know most likely the bottom would be a "dream" item since if neither player shows up at the table, the table won't show there and thus give both people a draw and removes them from the tournament. Very annoying when in the previous round when a person got a bye in the prior round and waiting for next round and expect it to show at bottom when it was at top. Then get removed from tourney due to DQ.

Any way for the tournament director will be able to indicate that such player is still active vs auto DQ?? Especially for a 6 round tourney and happens on round 5.

This is a nice feature, for sure.

I have just a little problem with the tiebreaker: When someone wins because his opponent runs out of time the result counts as 1:0 instead of the current score. That’s rather annoying if you need a high differential to win a tie.

Yes, but each game should preset a score for quit tables... example:

- In a Round Robin Chess tour, all games ends in 1-0, what score would be for a quit game?
- In Puerto Rico tours... what would be the final score?

I have the feeling that althouhg tournanments have been improved something is missing, there aren't standar day tournanments and there is not a variety of games. I believe it is better to have some tournanments at specific days uch as DRagonheart and RFTG (as earlier).
