In stacked mode, there is too much vertical space between players, even in desktop. It was more convenient to be able to see everyone's hand at a glance. So much of Hanabi strategy revolves around seeing everyone hands and predicting what subsequent players will do.
My suggestions:
Reduce vertical space in newer version so we can see all the cards at a glance in a 5 player game. 24inch, 1080p should be standard I think.
Give us the option to switch back to older version.

What's the point of changing the neat mechanic the old version had? It's like, for some reason, your government forces everyone to drive backwards instead of forward, just for the sake of it and not happy with that they try to convince you that driving backwards is better than driving forward.
The new clue system looks like it's been idea of someone who has never played the game. How on earth is "these 3 cards are green" better than clicking on a green colour and then clicking on the cards? Also in the previous version the last clue was highlighted for a while, now you have to read the log all the time to see what was the last clue you've received. This was a very fluent game to play real time, now it feels clumsy.
I wonder why after that amount of complaints the stuff responsible for the new Hanabi does some self criticism instead of trying to convince everyone that the new version is better than the previous one. I have no doubt you guys have been working hard developing the new version, but let's face it, it still looks like a prototype and we, THE USERS, are not liking it for a few and specific reasons that everyone is pointing out repeatedly.
Not everything is negative, the new art looks nice, the new playing options are cool. But those are the only positive things I can say about it.

3. My cards play automatically when I click to discard
This one has been reported => working on it.
I recon all these reactions must be rude for those who spent time developing this new version (and more importantly implementing the new variants, which shouldn't be forgotten in the comments)
But this should be the main concern at the moment, cause we can get used to everything else, event if we obviously don't want to, but this problem just makes you lose your games and we can't do anything about it

As Remycad said thanks for the new variant did not have the opportunity to test it
But as many people we prefer the old one:
-we need to scroll every time now
-error were better compressible with the old system
-personally we prefer the old graphics
Just saw that my new card arrive by my left but my partner arrive on the right a bit disturbing also

Did you have licensing problems with old design? Don't see any other reasons for applying this "downgrade"

It will take some getting used to, but I think I will grow to like it.
I would agree with others that the way to give clues with worded descriptions isn't very good. Could you change it so you click on their cards, then click an icon for colour or number? A compromise between new and old?
I struggle to see when new clues are given, the indications on the cards are not readily obvious, I often have to look at the game log to see which clue was given.
I also don't think it's very easy to see mistakes. Until I saw this thread, I didn't even know there was a way to tell! Maybe also introduce some of the misfire tokens next to the draw deck? The original game does after all feature tokens to track this. It's kinda like getting rid of the clue tokens.

I was very happy with the way the old interface was. I really don't think I am going to enjoy learning this new interface and I personally don't see any improvements over the old version. In fact, I think its actually harder and worse. It may "look cool" but the gameplay aspects I think it actually makes it harder to play and follow the game.
I mostly only play Hanabi on this site, so I am going to go ahead and cancel my premium membership. I know the $24/year I have been paying the last few years probably isn't a lot, but I just wanted to let you know why I was going to cancel.
