Yes, that was the old denomination. I have edited it for clarity.

Hi

Edit configuration > Who can register? > People I have invited > Save

Then Launch a tournament.
And under "PARTICIPANTS" is "Invite players to this tournament"

Bonjour,
Quand on créé un tournoi en mode temps-réel, quel est l'impact de définir une date précise pour les matchs ou de mettre "Dès que possible"?
Je voudrais organiser un tournoi entre connaissances sans trop de contraintes non plus...

Still no answer on where to find an overview of all the existing tournaments...Can someone help?
JJs_Welt wrote: 18 April 2020, 11:48 For me, it doesn't show "Show more", it is only saying there is one tournament available for sign up.....?
I don't understand why they got rid of the tournament tab, was so much easier to find (I just joined two weeks ago and am a bit confused ^^)

Tournaments are now one of the three "major game modes" on BGA. You can play Simple mode, Arena mode, or Tournaments. When you are in the usual lobby (the "Play now" area), you find a dropdown menu button on top (mobile) or top left (desktop). Click on the dropdown button and choose "Tournaments", there you go. :)

Hint: The other dropdown buttons next to the "major game mode button" let you choose between Real-Time and Turn-Based as well as Automatic or Manual opponent search in Simple mode.

In Swiss system tournaments I almost always seem to get teamed up vs an opponent with the exact same amount of games won in that tournament up to that point. Coincidence, or is that how the system is supposed to work?

Hi !

I've tried to create a turn by turn tournament for 8 people to test this functionality. There were 8 subscriptions. But only a few minutes after the beginning (20h45 today), the tournament is finished, without a single match. Have I missed something, that I had to do ? And also why the tournament did have 0 XP to win ?
Its name was "Petit tournoi Carcassone entre amis".
Thanks.

Edit : I think I've found the matter : a participant unsubscribed just a few minutes before the beginning. But I still would know why there's 0 XP adn how it is managed. :)

That is the beauty and the pain of Swiss pairing! At each stage, you should face an opponent of similar strength (or at least, similar current success in the tournament). So you never get to relax, but also should not have a run of depressing unwinnable games.
