I have several friends who play this on a free site, which is okay, but it would easily fit into the BGA environment, and be more carefully managed. I think it would make the game more popular and have more opportunities for attracting players.

Seconded! I mention this any time the conversation comes up about what is missing from BGA, as it seems like a perfect fit!

Carcassonne doesn’t have any options to play with the Abbott, he is a mini expansion included in the base game, like the River. We need to get him added!
