Not an issue. Since tournaments are created by premium users this lets you bypass the premium requirement for same IP at a table.

Hi, my friend started a tournament in real time, when it should be in turns...

Result: no one showed up for his match, and the tournament is frozen in place. It never begin the matches for the next phase, as there are no victors or losers.

I'm sad that we got a reputation hit for this stupid mistake, but I really want is to get hid of the tournament. There is anyway to cancel this dead tournament? Couldn't find the information anywhere.

Not sure how it actually works in detail, but looking at the tournament progress, it‘s in round 4 or 5 (of 5?) already. Therefore, assuming that it goes over to the next round after some specific time of no progress, it likely will sort itself within the next days?

Yet, I presume it is illegal to enter a tournament with multiple accounts, even if those accounts never end up playing against each other (eg in a knockout tournament). I can't find a specific ruling that would say it is, but it feels wrong.

[I have reasonably good evidence that a player has entered a tournament recently with multiple accounts. i won't name the accounts, but can provide details to an admin, if needed.]

For first game, how is made the pairing? Is it totally random or is it based on the ELO?

I have a question about the order in tournament when people are the same score. For example, how people are ordered in this tournament:

There are 5 players with the same score. So I am wondering how they are ordered. If you know the answer, please let me know.

I thought at least when you said that you'd be choosing a round robin tournament where it's not obvious. (I'm still hopeful someone actually knows the true answer to that and elimination tournament ties)

Swiss system is easy though, if you look at the entire table, you'll see where the people differ in their overall scores.
The table is sorted by the highest number of points, and then continued by sorting the next column. (Well it might actually skip over the played column during the tournament) but you can see the opponent's points and ELO are where the differences end up.
If you can't see them it's probably because you're viewing via phone and the tournament table doesn't work correctly.

Thanks a lot for you answer. I was on my phone and I never saw the entire table. On my laptop the entire table is visible and I can understand the order! Thanks for your help!

I've organised a longish tournament (3 weeks) and one of the players has to exit after 1 week. How can the player resign from the tournament effectively?
