A strange match on a map where strange things are bound to happen! As you may have noticed the Germans won both games. I thought I was set up for victory in game 1, but then had several turns where I couldn't hit anything and my attacking force was all but wiped out. After running and hiding, I picked off a few Germans as they came forward, but I didn't hold out much hope for a match win...
Until the start of game 2, that is. My artillery never took any casualties and dealt out significant damage to the Russian armor. My dice were hot, Jeronimon's were not, I was aided by a couple of ambushes, and I found myself the winner of a 10-3 game in favor of the Germans, even preventing them from taking the airfield....something I haven't seen before and will probably never see again!

Thanks for the games, Jeroen, and see you in a few days at the Dutch Open! Fortunately, I won't be playing you since I'm sure your revenge will be rather devastating! Good luck next round.

I confirm the score and the strangeness :)

In game two the Russian managed to destroy 13 figures :P
Arty unkillable and the Germans advancing on my lines.

Totally different from my other games but just as much fun.
(Bad for my average though ;) )

Zivago (Russes) - Artimon (Allemands) : 10 - 9 Meds / 36 -36 Figs / 1-0 Objs
Zivago (Allemands) - Artimon (Russes) : 3 - 10 Meds / 29 - 11 Figs / 0-1 Objs

TOTAL : Zivago - Artimon : 13-19 Meds / 47 - 65 Figs / 1-1 Objs

All the results of match #9 have been recorded and they are online. Don't forget to confirm the results, I know, it's very difficult after a fight but an extra effort costs nothing. Come on, let's go to the penultimate match before the deathmatches!

For me, a rather shocking outcome against mrmanley31.

Round 1: compasseagle89 (axis) 6 medals and 27 figures vs. mrmanley31 (allies) 10 medals (including the objective) and 31 figures. I was treacherously close to getting another two medals at the end of this round, targeting each a single figure armor and single figure infantry. But no good! Then the round concluded.

Round 2: compasseagle89 (allies) 10 medals (including the objective) and 29 figures vs. mrmanley31 (axis) 6 medals and 22 figures. If I thought my rolls were statistically unfair as the axis, mrmanley31's were even more unjust. I was certain several times that my armor would be crushed, but I think he threw 90% of his flags in this round, so I made it out alive...barely!

Total: compasseagle89 16 medals (including the objective) 56 figures, and 185 dice vs. mrmanley31 16 medals (including the objective) 53 figures, and 203 dice.

I don't know how I'll show my face to him at work tomorrow...

Junior72 (Russes) - Artimon (Allemands) : 10 - 4 Meds / 34 - 16 Figs / 1-0 Objs
Junior72 (Allemands) - Artimon (Russes) : 3 - 10 Meds / 19 - 30 Figs / 0-1 Objs

TOTAL : Junior72 - Artimon : 13-14 Meds / 53 - 46 Figs / 1-1 Objs

Deux parties très similaires avec un rouleau compresseur russe qui écrase toute résistance allemande ... A la prochaine Arnaud !

Je confirme les scores et l'impuissance des allemands face à la patiente et irrésistible avancée russe
