Sorry for the delayed response, I'm just seeing these posts now!
The update is that the graphic refresh is 95% done (we just have some minor tweaks to make). The Artifacts expansion is also about 95% implemented at this point (fully functional but we are working on improving the user experience of certain cards).
Throughout this development, we've also been trying to fix some of the biggest bugs and complaints we've received with the existing implementation. Specifically, we want to give players the option to confirm certain actions, especially if we believe it could be a mistake.
We plan on launching all of these things at the same time, sometime this year! If I had to guess, I'd say we will have the new version of this game in Alpha by in a couple months (mid-2022), working towards a public release in late 2022.
If anyone is interested in doing playtesting, we are currently at the point where we are able to play full games with each other in the BGA Studio. Send me a message and I'll give you our Discord link!
