I know how it would be done. I know that most software companies are glad when someone points out bugs. Isn't the case here, so there ya go
Developers can postpone fixing bugs and ignore bug reports for an indefinite time. But that shouldn't impact the practice to log bugs. There is already a "Thumbs up" gauge for bugs, after all, where users can vote which bug they think are most important, so I'd expect that feedback like this is welcome.

Nah, I didn't before. That was on a new page in this thread, my notification took me to the previous page.

What I see on the bug reported that you linked: Somebody wrote a bug which I agree is kinda hard to interpret what the actual bug is about, then the devs say they fixed it. You added a comment to it. Prolly nobody will ever read that comment because the bug is closed already. Why don't you open a new bug with your comment and link to the previous bug then? This would improve the visibility for your bug report. "Reopen" the actual issue yourself.
