1. Rule 1 does not help at all to "ease globale moderation".
2. Many of the avatars are of copyrighted images. Maybe a few court cases will show how much this site has messed up.
3. Several of the avatars encourage smoking and are of softcore PORN! What kind of perverts were allowed to choose these avatars for a family website.
The people who made these changes are sick in the head.

The account
P_Faker was just moderated because of its account avatar.
The avatar that was removed by the moderator was
this one, a default avatar provided by BGA.

The report link won't work anymore as the moderation was reversed.

Wait, so that means they're still doing this? I never even saw anything happen, maybe cause I already had over 20 games. Just found this thread by accident. It amazes me that even this site would just randomly assign an avatar.
What I want to know is why this site has such a hang up about avatars? Why do you care so much? Really, take a good long look at yourself and ask why you care so darn much about people having avatars. It's an unhealthy obsession. I refuse to upload one because I won't feed that obsession.
What is so terrible about just having a blank or non-descript avatar (like, say, a white meeple)?
If you don't want new accounts to have undesirable avatars, then don't let new accounts upload one at all and just use the white meeple. Is this too complicated?

It has already been done.
Accounts without avatars were assigned a random one from the default pool. And it seems newly created accounts are required to select an avatar from the default pool too, though I haven't checked if that is the case.

Forcibly choosing an avatar for the user aside.
Is the pool of the randomly chosen avatar at least filtered? The default pool has numerous questionable avatars.
A few examples:

i just get the first image in proposed, far away though.

Why not 20 games or X account age? I've been here for several months and it may be a few more before I hit 20. Life, man...

It would be helpful to ask a random selection of users to a do a review of the avatars and, if enough of them downvote an image, then remove it.
