I dislike the new Hanabi. When I change it to the "Stacked version" I have to keep scrolling. Even if I zoom out, it won't fit. The discard card's numbers are so small and hard to see. Overall, I prefer the old Hanabi.

Re: Hanabi: grand feux (new edition)
i understand a bit of work has been done for this update but yeah definitely quite a few issues.
main thing is i cannot see all the players hands on the same screen, i have to keep scrolling down to see my cards. even zooming out does not actually solve this issue.
not sure if this is a bug but while clicking on a card in my deck gives me option to play or discard, clicking on the newest card automatically discards the card instead of giving me the option to play it.
also not sure why the need to invert the other players cards (new cards from right) just an extra issue old players will have to deal with.
IMHO would have been better to keep old hanabi gameplay style with updated graphics (but to be able to see all the cards on the table on the same screen is important!) and updated expansion options
would be nice if possible as well to be able to choose to play the old version in setup screen
EDIT: ok having played another game. still annoying i have to keep scrolling up and down but the around the table logic is alright when you understand the logic behind it, but trying to change the preferences to stacked completely messed up the interface. (playing on mozilla if that is relevant maybe)
so the automatic discard when clicking the card is definitely a bug that needs to be fixed. most of the times i get the option to play or discard selected card but occasionally will just discard automatically (doesnt just happen with the newly aquired card btw)
2nd EDIT: tried playing the game on edge browser and much better, i guess this is how the new version is intended to look and feel like. can see the whole table and no issues/bugs with automatic discards when clicking cards. i guess it needs to be optimised for firefox and mobile...
So as a further review i think the new version is actually pretty good but yes should be fixed for different browsers before release to avoid all of this confusion and negative feedback!

Re: Hanabi: grand feux (new edition)
goodbye my favorite game
Make two options:
Hanabi 1.0 with old interface and rules (no new additions)
Hanabi 2.0 for thrill-seekers

Re: Hanabi: grand feux (new edition)
I am now at a loss how to finish playing turn based games
I'm afraid there will be a continuous loss

Re: Hanabi: grand feux (new edition)
No one I've talked to has seen any Play or discard button.
Re: Hanabi: grand feux (new edition)
Where is the preference to make it more like the old graphics?
I tried starting a new game, but I do not see those options under Table Configuration.
found it: upper right "3 bars" in game (where I abandon)
Hm, does not help much.

I have the same problem on my android phone. Can't play by drag and drop.
Also, the table will not load on iPad.

Re: Hanabi: grand feux (new edition)
Thanks all for your feedback. Changing are difficult, we all know it, but with your help we're going to fix the remaining issues.
please choose 'Stacked' to get back the old layout.
Old interface: 2 clicks at opposite sides of the screen. New interface: 2 clicks really closed, same side of the screen => faster.
Answer on the first post.
It was a bug on mobile/touchscreens => has been fixed few minutes ago.
This is what happened in real lifestankanovic wrote: ↑05 November 2020, 10:30 also not sure why the need to invert the other players cards (new cards from right) just an extra issue old players will have to deal with.
This is not random: each red tile is a mistake.
Except that 95% of the time you are giving one of the 2 proposed clues.

Sorry, but no bugs has been reported about this: https://boardgamearena.com/bugs?game=1211huehnerlady wrote: ↑05 November 2020, 09:54 I have to admit I am very disappointed about this release. As an alpha reviewer I mentioned the problem with the drag&drop on mobile since about 1 month. It was completely ignored. Why do you have alpha review phase if the comments are ignored?
