Something is telling me the opponent's average elo column isn't working correctly.

It looks like per game it's multiplying the amount of players instead of dividing. (And then working per normal from that)

The mode is very good, but after playing a couple of improvements:

0. Rank column for where you currently stand in tourney would be nice and easy to do.

1. More rounds than log(2) N - where N is number of players. My hope is that this number is customizable. And I can schedule 10 rounds for 8 players for example.

2. Opponent's ELO is a not a very good tiebreaker. It just promotes people with less ELO.

3. This one I know won't get implemented soon, but in games with random distribution of powers (like wonders in 7 wonders) it would be good to normalize it between players.

Hi,

the player list is already sorted by rank, so indeed adding a "rank" column is easy (although there is not a lot of place to add information at his point, and design is yet to be finished).

The number of steps is not automatic, but decided by the tournament admin (so, customizable).

I agree about opponents ELO not being a good tie breaker, but it comes as a second criteria after the opponents points.

Thanks a lot for your feedback !

My suggestion for 2nd tiebraker would be: points of your opponent's opponents. But I 100% agree that the first tiebreaker right now is excellent.

What does it means by Skipped? It does not have any meaning to show a column of zero's only. It is better to show Opponent's points as it is the first tie-breaker.

I also don't like Opponents average ELO as 2nd tie-breaker, using game specific tie-breaker (like point percentage) could be a good replacement.

Game's specific tie breaker is already the one used, on each encounter.

The tie breaker using opponents points is the one for the global ranking of the players, when many have the same global points.

A player is "skipped" when he cannot be matched in step of the tournament. This happens often or not, depending on the configuration of the tournament.

For exemple, if the number of players per match is set to 4, and the minimum number of players is set to 3, then there is almost always a configuration where all players can play.

But if the minimum is 4, then for 30 players for exemple, you will have 7 games and 2 players "skipped".

@Draasill: I would like it if on all tournaments (even the old modes) the own username would be highlighted somehow in the table. Then one could easily see the own success on each tournament.

In the Puerto Rico tournament I am curious why they system gave two players a bye rather than simply create two tables with four players?

The tournament has been set up with strictly 3 players per game ("minimum 3 players, maximum 3 players").
Congratulation for your win on the first round BTW :)
