Agree that the solo mode --- fully described in the rulebook --- would be a great boon to new players. And some people prefer it in any case --- Stegmaier knows how to design a good Automata player.
Still very exciting to have on BGA.

No. With using the hotseat option you can just type in a name for your opponent that you make up and it will switch between you when it is "their" turn.
Thank you very much, I didn't know that. Have never tried that, but sounds really useful.

Was this glorification part of the licensing deal?
Haha that is what I came here to ask. Given the man's online personality I would not be surprised if that was the case.
...what? I haven't noticed any particularly self-aggrandizing aspect to Stegmaier's online presence. What are some specifics you have in mind?
For me, it's not his online personality(which is indeed humble), but his marketing strats & approaches, where he grabs every opportunity he can to turn everything into marketing

Solo Mode - I don't usually ask for much but I'm full on requesting the solo mode for this one. I have really wanted to figure this game out but I don't want to waste other people's time while I'm reading every card, tile, map, etc...

So what you are saying is he is a fantastic business person with good marketing skills?

This is an interesting game to go in to blind.
Two friends and I went in yesterday without knowing anything about the game. By the end of the game we now have a really good idea of how to play and how the game works. It took us 125 minutes to complete.
Thanks to the Devs for putting together such a well made game.

Exactly!

Turn order is being resolved incorrectly. Turns are supposed to go clockwise around the map and your neighbors are supposed to be the neighbors on map. Right now turn order is being determined randomly without any relation to the board and neighbors are not based on map position.

I have played around 20 games so far on BGA. A 2-player game lasts between 30 and 60 minutes. A 3-player one between 60 and 100min. I haven't played with 4 or 5 players on BGA yet, but with the box it can last up to 3h. It all depends on how agile the players are.
