Some observations:

A very early 1040 was scored by meatball20 on Nov 15, 2021 (https://boardgamearena.com/table?table=216681803). This was beaten by Granatenomma (1050) on Jan 19, 2022 - the official launch day of the game. This record was subsequently beaten by Laurentino (1060), meatball20 (1080) and eyebooger (1310) although there might well be earlier/higher scores by other players.

The 30 players in this list represent a total of 51 scores of 1000 and above. Three of the tables had two scores above 1000: mirinkun/Kevisch, Ens/Everus and eyebooger/aspibuil. Only one of the games ended with an unfinished row (https://boardgamearena.com/table?table=368433666) and had potential for a much higher score.

The player with most scores of 1000+ is docw (9) followed by Omit28 (3), nekoTenchos (3) and nine players with two results. Also, docw managed to get two such scores within 2 days, four within a month (Jun 28 - Jul 26, 2022). Pzi4 got two such scores within his first 150 games.

The most common method to score a 1000+ is the well known 4-678-X pattern. Out of the 51 scores 32 follow this pattern. The earliest one I discovered is the Laurentino game on Apr 27, 2022. A perfect game with this pattern would score 1150 points, which has not been done yet.

Btw, Can't Stop Express is also an example of a game were the discovery of a 'best strategy' has made the game less interesting. I remember a time when everyone had to come up with a pattern of his/her own. But that's just my opinion and there are still many ways to play and win the game.

So, I hope you enjoy dry lists. I certainly do.

Neat stats. How did you get those?

Also I find it amusing that if you do this "best strategy", you won't ever get the scores that aspibuil and I got.

I just hit a personal best of 950.

I also have a worst winning score of -880. I share that for my own embarrassment, so won't add a link and embarrass my opponent too.
