Thanks for providing table examples. I confirm that there is still an issue applying levels for 3+ player games depending on the creation/join order. A fix is on the way for this case for next release.

It previously was the case for me that when waiting for a four-player arena game with Bronze, Silver, and Elite leagues, and when I was in the Elite league, if I set +2 league differential matching to never, I would never be matched with Bronze league players.

However, recently I have noticed that I am being matched with Bronze League players often. There appears to be no way for never to actually mean never.

Is this related to the bug that has already been identified?

As mentioned before, indeed never is not never (and as far as I can tell, never has been) for 3+ players games. But whatever OP may think about how hard it is to implement something, there is nothing easy about this. Still working on it, will update when never has become never hopefully forever.

I also have been struggling with this. Often getting matched with someone 2-3 levels below—-and mine is set to +-1.
Earlier today was matched with a Gold and I’m platinum— Hand and Foot #266874966

i see you are working on it, but another 2 games in a row with +/- 1 settings and get 3-4 levels and the elite was not able to join with elite. it is very frustrating especially losing elite points. anybody that joins elite is automatically ahead of me no matter what now that ive lost so many lower ranked played

A patch has been deployed adding an extra check before starting a table and adjusting the matchmaking if needed, which should fix the reported issues with level/reputation filter mismatches.

Please be aware that this deploy is experimental, as noted previously the automatic lobby is a complex module especially difficult to test. In case of issues we may have to rollback.

Thanks Een! For what it's worth, it really did seem that this improper matching is a new behavior, just in the past few months. But of course hard to know for sure. In any event, thanks for your work making this site we all love so great!

From the code, I'm sure ;)
But in some "good" cases it worked before too (depending on the order of creation/joining at the table) so everyone's experience could be different and change over time.

Not sure if the changes are to blame... but people trying to play Hand and foot arena seem to be struggling to get into games today... I was waiting and it said i was waiting on two players, someone in my friend list asked me if i wanted to play as they were waiting on one, finally their game started 5-10 mins later, without me??

Well clearly, making constraints work means more waiting time to have players matching your constraints. If your settings are too restrictive, it may mean waiting a lot more. What I can say is that the overall numbers of tables created has not decreased with this change, but there is no way to add more constraints and speed up waiting times at the same time. You'll have to relax your constraints to get a compromise that's working for you.
