Not really from the start. I had a rough idea of where the federations will be in round 1-2 and expected to eventually make 2-4 of them. But this automa is in particular specialised in hindering the federation building because it always tries to build as close to you as possible. I decided to rather maximise the Geodens' ability and the federations were created situationally, bearing in mind the rough initial plan.

I'm not talented enough to compete with the top players in this thread, but I won my first ultoma game. Thanks dashmudtz, your replay helps me a lot. 156 vs 145, it was close.

So, I reached 168 but I have the feeling that I'm in front of a psychological wall. I have two questions for the veterans.
1) How do you deal with the automa deck ? Do you anticipate cards that will be drawn ? And how ?
2) Is that a good strategy to focus on victory points you could grab only after turn 3 or later ? Or do you try to gain points each turn ?

Ha. Thank you. To be honest, I had a long break, so I'm not very good in planning ahead. Most what you see is some kind of reaction and the idea of it feels right. So even I had no idea I would be able to finish no. 3... and as you can see there I messed up. Had some plans, but I missed I was out of mines there... might have been a few more points else.
