I've played about 200 games, but overwhelmingly I can't get the numbers I have.
I often get the same number, so I can't do anything.

I'm sure that's what 95% of roulette players say.

Also want to point out that in Catan World Championships there are some back-to-back years when same player(s) is in top3. Perhaps circles aren't as big as in some other "sports" but if game truely would be as random as people here say that would be astronomically small chance. And players in at least main event are pretty good at the game so you can't say that's only because competition is poor.

I keep having games where the rate of 3s is just daft. It's at the point where I'm starting to think starting settlements with 3 might be a good choice. This is the rolls of a game I just played where one player had settlement with 3 and 9 and just steamrolled the other players. Done and dusted in 18 minutes.

It's pretty biased.
Often there is nothing you can do.

As the person above said, the number of dice rolls often goes around with the same number.
Due to the bias of the dice, there are many games where you lose one-sidedly.

Are you making the random seed seed dependent on time?
As a result, the values are biased and the random rate decreases.

I couldn't do anything with the extremely biased dice today

That’s an interesting take. I checked one of your games from around the time of that post. You had back to back settlement placements and left yourself without brick, and didn’t have a 6. Your opponents both had access to everything from the start, which is big for a game where nobody trades. Yes, 6s hit a lot (still less than 2x expected) And 4s and 10s didn’t (still at least half as much as expected). But to think that BGAs algorithms select certain users to cheat out of victories is insane. Why are you, of all users, the one to be targeted?

Like many games, CATAN has an element of luck that can make some games a challenge and some games a breeze. Accept that, and know that if you play well, even though you’ll win some and lose some still, you’ll win a little bit more.

I think the random number algorithm is flawed.
I do not feel that it favors anyone, but rather that the random values are skewed, resulting in a one-sided game.
