I can't believe this has been up all day. Come on BGA, do better.

I know that the people demanding the title to be changed mean well, but it's just a title and it makes sense with the game thematically. It really shouldn't be an issue. If you don't want to make it a political issue, than simply don't make it a political issue. Just move on to the game page and you won't see the title anymore.

Agreed! Not sure who at BGA thought it would be a good idea for a French board game service to use the political slogan of an American former presidential candidate but I would respectfully ask that they stop politicizing the site, virtue signaling and forcing their agenda down our throats.
It's just a title. Have they expressed their support for a political party? Has it crossed your mind that you might be guilty of what you are accusing this site of doing?

Whelp, what a title to announce this game. Now it will forever be associated with it, too bad.

This was made a political issue over 6 years ago. Of course you being in Canada would know this. You also have made clear your political views in your statements.
I'm not going to waste time trying to reason with you, I know it is pointless based on that alone. I am only quoting this to point out that there is absolutely no way that any of us that are objecting to this statement are among those that politicized this. Those people are glad to see such a horrible statement on here and will likely scream about it's (hopefully) eventual removal.

Game looks great, but not a fan of using a political dogwhistle for the article title....
I agree - that phrase is still very closely linked to hate speech in the United States. I imagine it was meant in a playful way, but for many audiences I think it will come across as a bit of an insensitive reference to some very recent, very painful world events
lol*
*moderator edit: actual abreviation used has been changed to reflect the sentiment but adhere to our policy; please refrain from using curse words on bga

Dogwhistle?
In politics, a dog whistle is the use of coded or suggestive language in political messaging to garner support from a particular group without provoking opposition. The concept is named after ultrasonic dog whistles, which are audible to dogs but not humans.

This game sounds great. I look forward to learning and trying. However, like many others, I’m finding the title to be in poor taste. Please consider taking the tagline down

Honestly, I think it's the other way around.
I saw the title and found it funny, then read all those oversensitive comments.
I think the politicizing and forcing an agenda come precisely from those here who want to make a big deal out of this. And the virtue signaling comes when someone demands a change and says the phrase "is linked to racism", making themselves look, of course, like the virtuous ones who oppose that evil (how that evil manifests itself in the title is not really explained, just assumed).
I am pretty sure if we start looking at all of the titles there will be reasons to be offended if we take them seriously and put ourselves in a position of saving the world through petty demands.
So don't. Instead, let's keep on playing and save the politics for more appropriate spaces.
