Two very intense games, this was a really nice map that lead to some good plays from both sides.

In the first Duncan sent unit after unit through the tunnel with an intense match. Meanwhile, the troups on the opposite flank were also preparing an invasion, resulting in a battle on multiple fronts. In the end I managed to take a slight lead and grab the objective bridge for the victory in the first round.

In the return I tried to send my Japanese through the tunnel as well. That worked for some time, also aided with a BEL to stop an armor unit from crossing the map. But then the card supply for the right stopped, and I had to find other ways to attack. It turned out that all those right cards ended up with Duncan, who fought hard in the center, but eventually lost to the oncoming waves of Japanese infantry.

Thank you Jeroenh for these two nervous parts! It was fun! Good luck for the future !

A l'aller juste 1 carte au centre au début pour LeCormoran, de mon côté je profite de la caverne sur mon flanc droit pour faire passer des unités, 1 fusillade me rapporte 4 médailles (!), 1 action héroïque encore 2 de plus et je retire la carte 3 tours plus tard pour la rejouer et gagner le match. Ce genre de partie arrive souvent sur M44, c'est le jeu, mais pas de cartes pas de D, c'est... pas rigolo ! Enfin là cette fois c'est moi qui en ai profité !
Au retour LeCormoran avait allumé des cierges, ils ont parfaitement fait leur travail, peu de cartes au centre pour moi, peu de cartes tactiques, le BANZAI japonais fonctionne et le pont est pris, les fantassins arrivent même jusqu'à la forteresse, 4 D plus tard elle est prise, je suis largement mené 3-7. Mais ici dans le Sud je suis à égale distance du pont d'Avi-Gnôn et de la Bonne Mère de Marseille, le flegme britannique a finalement raison de la furia nippone. Je reprends le pont et le garde malgré les attaques ennemies. La riposte avec des unités à 1 et 2 figs (!), accompagnés d'un coup de canon, me permet de l'emporter de justesse !!

On the 1st game just 1 card in the center at the beginning for LeCormoran, on my side I take advantage of the cave on my right flank to pass units, 1 shootout brings me 4 medals (!), 1 heroic action another 2 more and I remove the card 3 turns later to play it again and win the match. This kind of game often happens on M44, that's the game, but no cards no D, it's... no fun! Well, this time it was me who took advantage of it !
On the 2nd game LeCormoran had lit candles, they did their job perfectly, few cards in the center for me, few tactical cards, the Japanese BANZAI works and the bridge is taken, the infantry even arrive as far as the fortress, 4 D later it is taken, I am largely trailing 3-7. But here in the South I am equidistant from the bridge of Avi-Gnôn and the Good Mother of Marseille, the British phlegm finally got the better of the Japanese furia. I take back the bridge and keep it despite the enemy attacks. The response with units at 1 and 2 figs (!), accompanied by a cannon shot, allows me to narrowly win !!

When it rains it pours. To sum up, my hit rate was ridiculous and thanks to great cards I managed to overwhelm the enemy forces.
I really appreciated Albediii's sportsmanship and the way he dealt with bad luck. Looking forward to a re-match on other M44 battlefields!
