Solo please

As previous dev stepped away, there's a very little probability solo mode would be on BGA. I've seen the code and it's a serious effort to continue the development. It's dozens (maybe hundreds) of dev hours even considering base game works fine. Spending all this time just because a developer loves the game?.. Questionable.
I wonder if crowdfunding could be an option here. What do you think, players? Would you donate to get solo mode?
