I have been curious too . . . I was searching around for info . . . found this blurb at Fifty-Nine Parks website . . . recent post . . . just a few days ago !

*11.18.24 Update: The current version of PARKS—and its expansions—will no longer be in print after 2024. Keymaster Games is still producing the games but with entirely different art work. Please note that Fifty-Nine Parks is not a part of the creation of new art in any way. We brought the idea of collaborating on a National Parks game to Keymaster in 2018. At that time we never anticipated the wonderful life that a game like PARKS would have! We're bummed that this is the decision Keymaster has made. We're still grateful for the opportunity and your support of the game these last six years! Maybe "PARKS Classic" is something we will see again in the future. We appreciate y'all! https://59parks.net/products/parks-board-game

Good news and bad news.

The bad news is that it will be some time still. The good news is that I've gotten a peek at the new edition, and Keymaster has done an amazing job with it. It's not just a reskin of the existing game (which is a big part of why it will be some time still) -- they've tweaked and streamlined a lot.

My best guess is that Parks will be back on BGA in mid-2025 with some great new surprises.

Looking forward to this. Just played it at home and was missing it on BGA.

As you all know . . . there are quite a few user avatars here on BGA that are images from the (former) PARKS game . . . based on art from the Fifty-Nine Parks series. Their appearance does not seem to be impacted by the recent break-up with Keymaster.
Thank you to Fifty-Nine Parks for allowing your images to continue as avatars here at BGA.
Keymaster . . . we are waiting with eager anticipation for your new release of PARKS . . . and for its return to BGA!

Today, it is no longer "farewell" -- let's say "welcome back" to Parks! The second edition is now in alpha. As with any alpha, only members of the Parks player group have access to the game. Of course, if you have ever played a game of Parks, you are a member of that player group.

The new edition streamlines some rules and integrates features from the Nightfall and Wildlife expansions. If you were a fan of the first edition, there will be a few surprises here, but at the core, this is the Parks you know and love!

Is this the first game that has a larger icon? I was surprised to see the icon in the forum compared to other games.

*edit* The forum icon is back to normal size, weird!
