Major connectivity issues to bga in the past week or two

I was unable to connect for many hours last night. East Coast USA, Comcast.
Didn't try forums separarately as I see them as https://boardgamearena.com/forum

It's 9:50 PM EST, in the metro Detroit area of the United States, and I can't access any games. the "Play Now" tab simply leads to an endless wait. This happened on Wednesday evening as well. It occurred around 9:20 PM EST on Wednesday. No clue as to why and I haven't seen BGA acknowledge this issue.

It works for me, east coast US, 10:03 EST. It does take 10-ish seconds but Play Now has always been slow if you have lots of games favorited.

For the past few days, it's taking ages (60 secs+) to load/refresh the lobby/play now page.

Playing a game is fine, actually being able to find one to join is extremely tedious and slow.

Loading the forums, to come and post this, took longer than usual, but much less time than loading the lobby.

I'd hoped waiting would solve the issue, but no luck.

What type of internet do you have?

I get this issue in Australia, but only on mobile internet (4G) - from both a mobile phone and laptop. The /lobby page is quite large and takes over 1 minute for it to fully download. No such issues on FTTP (wifi from the same mobile phone and laptop). Only on mobile internet.

The fact that the homepage is over 10MB (before gzipping) is quite odd in and of itself.

A hack you can use is to use Local Overrides - https://medium.com/globant/local-overri ... e3f6993ea0 - and serve up a local copy of /lobby .
