same issue here, but reducing animation time was a good tip, thanks!´for that! it's still lagging, but for the time being it's a good enough workaround.

Finding it almost unplayable on mobile now. Have an Android phone and it is really struggling with TM games to the point of almost locking up completely and dangerously overheating the phone. Had to quit a game just there as couldn't do anything.
Other games are working ok and the phone is a brand new galaxy S25 so not likely a hardware problem for just a web browser.
Anyone managed a fix on an android phone?

You need to be on Chrome 133.0.6943.89 or higher. Please note that the official BGA app is just a webview of your Chrome browser, so please update your Chrome browser on Android.

Updating browsers helps but... there are some folks are there who never chat / will do anything for these imaginary internet ELO points. If you are ever playing and more than a few seconds pass and your opponent has not made a move, I suggest refreshing your browser. What you describe has happened / or threatened to happen to me as well.

I have been intermittently losing my connection during the mid to late stages of TM games -- maybe one out of three or four games and never early in the game. As a rule, I don't have connection issues when I'm online.
Sometimes TF recovers enough for me to finish the games.
I have read that I should turn off animations. Is that even a thing?
I haven't tried refreshing when this happens. Is that a tried and true remedy?
What else might I try?
Thank you for your patience (especially if you were in a game with me)

99% of the time (I'm sort of guessing here) when something like this happens, it has nothing to do with the game itself.
Likely explanations:
1) The player's computer.
2) The player's internal Internet connection
3) The player's Browser
4) The player's browser settings
5) The player's external internet connection
6) BGA server / issues, which occasionally happen and last no more than a few minutes most of the time.
7) Multi-tasking and not having the game be the active window, preventing automatic of the update the game state.
I cannot recall any instance of one specific game functioning noticeably slowly for me while other aspects of BGA's website were fully functional.
I've also noticed Chrome and Firefox seem to be mentioned in most such reports. I have no idea why that would be the case, but I use Edge and rarely have any such issues.

It's been reliable for the last handful of games. The one time it wasn't was when it tried to process an action that had triggered 5 other actions (I had clicked "whatever"). I lost my connection, hit F5, got back in, and then redid the action step by step w/o a problem.
The problem might have been connected to having an idle game running in the background that required a connection to Steam. I've noticed that sometimes when Steam requires an update, my connection becomes sluggish and unstable.
Mmm..I spoke too soon. It happened again. Something to do with Steam?
