A game without luck can be a cheat game. Isn't a awesome game, really, if you play lot of times you can reproduce the same strategy lot of times.

It is a interesting game,
maybe you can play more games with real masters,
and find out there are a lot of strategies,
(why don't you reproduce the strategy to me?)
especially when you play with expansion bugs.

And,I don't know what you are talking about cheat,
the top4 players untill now played thousands of games on Boardspace.net,
3 of them are 2011-2013 champion,
we DON'T need cheat!

Yes, sure, that's what Garry Kasparov did all the time to remain chess champion but... oh no, look, someone has been able to beat him after all.

But maybe you should find an opponent worthy of you. Then you might find out that Hive, like many other abstract strategy games, is like an onion. The more you peel it, the more new layers you discover, each one with a new learning level. There is no such thing as a unique recipe for victory in this game - after all, this is not Mario Bros.

Until now,I don't think AI can de better than real human(in Hive).
But I know nothing about program,so maybe I am wrong with this.

A plus of Hive is that isn't easy to build "a strong AI" because it's a "hex game" (6 sides per piece). But, when anyone will create this AI, this game will be like "Chess" or "Checkers".

When you're face-to-face it's better, but here you can't see if your opponent are using an AI or he/she is really thinking.

I think something is getting lost in translation here. What exactly is "cheating the game" for you ?

Usually, to cheat means to act dishonestly or unfairly in order to gain an advantage. But I am not sure that is the meaning you are giving to "cheat" - I don't see why having an AI would enable players to "cheat".

Maybe he means someone use the program to respond what his opponent do.

I don't know - first he says something about "playing a lot of times" and "reproducing the same strategy lot of times" - which against an experienced player will obviously not work, then he says that with an AI "people can cheat the game".
