I've also come here to voice my frustrations with playing against MD, think I'll give up on this game for now. I managed to get Armour Plating & Regeneration in my last match, and still lost to MD, who did nothing but roll damage against me all game. I couldn't develop any strategy except trying to survive.

I have managed to beat it but I think it’s a cheap way to win and you are playing a basic dice game vs a strategy game. If I draw second and the other player does not take it, I NEVER take it and find the game much more strategic and enjoyable!

This is just silly. The game really needs an option to exclude MD from the monsters. Still, it's fun to dish 8 damage, not so much to take it lol

It would be nice if there was a ban option. Each player gets a single ban.
Top players aren’t worried

Hey guys checkout the top arena player of this game Whatever1111… watch him play. He barely ever chooses Meka Dragon and comes up against it a lot and he has a 72% win rate. Watch his replays vs Meka to see the strategies. Cheers

Thanks for the link Dolmaur. Here is a TL/DR from Richard Garfield, game designer or the game.
Mechadragon feels over power to beginners and to players who force a strategy without interacting with the rival. To Richard Garfield, the Mechadragon's weakness is its low life. You should push it into spots where it needs to heal or gamble for the win. In these spots, Mechadragon ability is the only one that does not do anything since without attack, it's plainly pointless, as opposed to the other ability.

What if we would add a rule that limits numbers of ! To x2?
And maybe forbid it as first player pick?

TBH, if the next arena season uses automatic pick, rather than player's pick, it will be way more enjoyable. A bit of MD is fun, too much is catastrophic

I don think he is op, he is easy to beat if he plays only for ! and claws. With luck all monster win. The problem is try to play MC in that way, he can be played not only looking for luck
