The elo system is messed up for bang because
A) it is still using the old team elo format. Meaning players lose elo to their own teammate when they have more elo than them. This keeps the entire community closer in ranking than they should be. I’m still unsure why other team games had this problem fixed and bang is more popular than others but that problem was ignored.
B) Even w/ the new adjusted team elo that is also a bad ranking system. It doesn’t account for your teammate when calculating win probabilities. So it is constantly dragging down stronger players keeping the player pool closer in skill than they really are
C) Bang is also unlike other games in the sense that the roles don’t have a equal chance of winning the game. There is enough data to know the win probabilities for each role depending on player count & that should be accounted for in a more accurate rating system of elo distribution.
